365 Drills was started in 2005 when owner Richard Hazell proposed a solution to the expensive problem of drilling porcelain tiles. Richard came up with the innovation of removing the costly central pilot drill (which is an integral part of most porcelain drilling systems) and using a drill guide to hold the diamond bit in place.
365 Drills was born with the introduction of the 365 Drills Bathroom Fitters Kit, featuring 7 diamond drill bits, which are ideal for cutting holes in porcelain tiles and a wide range of other materials, and the 365 Drills patented non-slip drill plate.
The 365 Drills range has since expanded and the company now offer drills in 35 different sizes.
In 2007, Richard made an appearance on BBC television when pitching 365 Drills on the Dragons' Den. A number of the Dragons were interested in 365 Drills; however none of them were able to meet Richard's investment requirements.
In 2008, 365 Drills reached an agreement with Arctic Products to distribute the newly branded Porsadrill products nationally.
