 Designed for the job I bought this to cut fused glass which it does well. Shortfalls in design are: 1. The power cable should be lead out the rear of the unit 2. The rubber feet are useless! Unit should have adjustable feet to enable leveling of the bed [Thanks for your feedback regarding the product design - we'll pass on your ideas to the manufacturer. great cutter no dust great cutter paired up with Marcrist CK850 180mm Tile Saw Blade cuts granite tiles no problem, good for DIY also no dust - Rubi The Best! I have been using the new electric tile cutter from Rubi.This cutter combined with the CPC2 blade is pefect for porcelain tiles.
